Woot! Finally finished my dad's b-day card! This is a bit different - it's based on a newspaper illustration done by an ancestor of mine, although in the original illustration "Yankee Dan" was looking pretty glum despite the fact that he was being asked to dance by a pretty, young girl. (This is why the inside caption says, "On your birthday, even 'Yankee Dan' feels like dancing!") The pose is based on a pic of me and my b/f dancing, although you can only see our top halfs in the pic, so I had to guess what our feet were doing! Anyhoo, this was fun and I'm reasonably happy with it!
